I have known about Fr Rookey’s healing for nearly 50 years. My mother took my brother as a baby to Fr Rookey in 1950 when he was in Benburb Priory in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland . He was covered in eczema from head to toe he was healed to the point where there was only some of it left around his ankles. Alice Scully was his housekeeper and she talked a lot to me about him when her grandson got bone cancer Fr Rookey was back in Chicago and he prayed for healing. Alice believed he healed the cancer. Many years later my cousins grandson was diagnosed at the age iof 6 with a brain tumour. Somehow I managed to find Fr Rookey’s phone number in Chicago and I phoned him. He asked me to put Dale on the phone to him, but I was in Birmingham England and the child was in Lancashire. He told me to get the family call him later. He gave his blessing to Dale. The consultants had given Dale 5 years at the most it was a neuroblastoma tumour incurable. Dale was 26 on 19th September. |
| 2 | Jean Mund | I was attacked by a dog on the way to a healing service in Cleveland, Ohio. A dog lounged and bit the back of my thigh ripping my pants and his teeth punctured my thigh. It was an area of 8 inches by 8 inches. During the service Fr Rookey prayed over my leg. It was black and blue for five weeks, but did not hurt at all due to prayers. Praise God |
| 3 | Jean Mund | I accompanied a group of people to Mexico with Fr Rookey. Each day for ten days, there would be a healing mass and service. Each one was at least 6 hrs and then Fr would break fast and eat. On the last day, 10!thousand people Fr Rookey blessed. As catchers, we took rest every few hrs, not Father. He was getting energized as the time went on. I witnessed thousands of healings. God is so good. Praise be Jesus. |
| 4 | Jean Mund | Father Rookey was so holy, yet he was very approachable. He had no airs about him. He fast every day on coffee until in the evening. He grew a beard as a sacrifice so abortions would end. He never drew attention to himself. He loved jokes and making people laugh. He was always praying. I would glance around on pilgrimage and he would be seen walking with a rosary in hand. He led by example. He was always smiling. One time walking up the side steps at a church he took 4 steps at one time. He looked back at me when he leapt, I am stretching the old legs. He had extraordinary gifts from Jesus. I would observe him on pilgrimage. People thought he was getting a photo with them. He was praying for them and interceding for them in that instant. I don’t know why God let me know, but he did. I was in awe at what I witnessed. I am humbly touched that I was able to be a friend to him. I say this as tears sting my eyes. I am overwhelmed with God’s goodness. I met many people through him. |
| 5 | Jean Mund | One of my friends, came to a healing service with me, as Fr Rookey’s approached for a blessing, my friend saw Jesus, not Father Rookey. Praise God. On other occasions we smelled the fragrance of roses. Another time, I saw mist shaped as Our Lady when the choir was singing Ave Maria. The mist left as the song concluded. On first Saturdays at the Basilica in Chicago many saw Our Lady in the mural during Mass,. so many candy kisses from Our Lord. On several occasions at the office in Berwin we saw the miracle of the sun spinning. Theses phenomena was amazing, the biggest miracle was drawing so close to Our Lord in the sacraments. Knowing that Jesus and Blessed Mother Mary love us for us. Amen |
| 6 | Jean Mund | I had the great pleasure to be a catcher Fr Rookey at various healing masses. I also witnessed that he could read my mind. On several occasions he showed this beautiful spiritual gift. For example, we were in the Holy Land on Pilgrimage. A group was gathered talking on night, when a priest commented about scripture. In my heart, I said oh Lord I will never know you at that depth. Fr Rookey’s was moved by compassion and he tapped my arm and said, It’s okay dear, Jesus knows your heart. I felt so seen and loved. Also, the secret gift was outed. Fr Rookey’s could read your mind. Praise Jesus. Over the years, I witnessed this phenomenon many many times. For example, in the prayer line, I would formulate a question to the Holy Spirit, as Fr Rookey’s passed, with a blessing, I would receive the answer to my prayer question. Praise God. |
| 7 | Jean Mund | I was in Chicago at a first Saturday healing service. I received a deep knowing that I was to ask my sister to come to Medjugorje with her 3 yr old son. While driving 1000 miles to New York to the air port, a car was headed the wrong way head on driving 70 mph. Thank you Jesus we narrowly escaped with our lives. My sister received a deep healing for depression while in Medjugorje. I attribute the miracle to Fr Rookey’s intercession. My sister went on to have four more children. |
| 8 | Jean Mund | My sister’s brother in law was in multiple systems failure in a coma. Three of us asked Fr Rookey to intercede and we attended a healing service with Fr Rookey. At the hospital we prayed the miracle pray, took St Peregrine holy oil and made the sign of the cross on his head and both hands. He completely covered. He was released from the hospital one month later. Even though he was in a coma, he heard the prayers being prayed over him. Praise God. He related to me that the darkness he was experiencing at that moment seized when the prayers were being prayed. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Fr Rookey. |
| 9 | Jean Mund | Another miraculous miracle I witnessed through Fr Rookey. I worked at the WIC office in Staten Island. A mother brought her very ill baby to pick up formula. She spoke Spanish. I was so moved with compassion upon seeing and hearing the mother’s plight, I phoned the International Compassion Ministry’s office and spoke in Spanish to Fr Rookey. Well, three months later the mom returns to get new checks, this time her baby is pink growing healthy. There was a huge miracle. Within 5 hrs of her praying with Fr Rookey her baby had an emergency kidney transplant. The physician exclaimed it was a miracle. I provided all documentation to the office. This occurred in 2005. Praise God. With God all things are possible. |
| 10 | Jean Mund | Through Fr Rookey, my friend Sonja Hrelja was healed from a brain injury from a car accident. She was in a coma for several days. She has made a 100 percent recovery. Praise God. This happened in 2019, after Fr Rookey ‘s death. I would prayer fervently at her bedside and play the you tube video’s of Fr Rookey’s anointed voice. All the medical documentation is provided. The physician’s were ready to release her to a rehab center, while in coma and intubated. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Fr Rookey for your intercession. |
